Certainly not as important as our previous two topics, but….

  •  Age of Conan Release Date as been pushed out to May 20th, 2008. Better to have a more polished game than a buggy one! Please see the Age of Conan forums for discussion….
  • The New Forums are up. There are a few outstanding items to be completed, but at least our site looks a tad bit more uniform! Got complaints? Tell Set! The old forums were just plain boring! Please see Website Forums for more discussion.
  • Thank you Ssinjin, Korathin, Alijah and others for help with the forums!!!

Aramina sorted through paperwork, signed certain documents, and set others aside for her to think on. She turned to her assistant and complained …

“No wonder the Dread Lord wandered off without telling anyone. He likely became insane with the monotony of paperwork! Ok, time to turn in. I am exhausted and my eyes are burning.”

The shy slave turned to her and hesitantly pushed one last document in front of her.

“Milady, forgive me, but I think you should take a look at this one. It seems that it…well…was lost in the shuffle. It has been long overdue, and they are so very nice.”

Aramina grumbles. She no longer felt so young and sweet as she once did when she first found her Bloodkin. There was a day where servants and slaves did not fear her. Lately she found that she had far less patience, but she had not really noticed the trembling hands and downcast of eyes that she received more often.

“Oh stop your silly gushing and show me what you are talking about. Who is nice? Nice in these times? When our God is so angry at us?”

She snatches the documents. They were the formal applications of domicile for Alijah and Leilieth. Her tired eyes took on a look of surprise.

“How were they missed? Where have these documents been? I blame you for not keeping this place organized for me. That is your job! That is why you have not been fed to the snakes!”

Without another word, Aramina jumps from her desk, pushes past the slave, and heads to the Halls of the Highlord. She claps her hands for all to pay attention. Everyone in the room and surrounding areas suddenly stop talking and look toward the Regent.

“I know this is late, but it is long over due and cannot wait another passing of a sun or moon. I hereby accept the two applicants, Alijah and Leilieth, to House Lok-ri as our extended family and instantly grant them the deserved rank of Bloodless of House Lok-ri. The formal annoucement is being scribed and will be placed for all to see. Please all read the tales they told in order to find us in the library. Leilieth claims to be a Lok-ri! We will await our research results for her to be granted Bloodkin, but for now, accept her and Alijah as your own kindred.”

“Welcome Alijah and Leilieth! Welcome to House Lok-ri!”

The Rumor

Retold by Ryushihan Lok-ri

******

Long ago the great Stygian House of Lok-ri was a unified and glory filled the house. Its greatest and eldest of Nobles the Dread Lord Vorgen ruled with and iron fist. Set himself must have seen great favor in the Dread Lord. For hundreds of years the House was a name to be feared across many lands. Then the most gracious of feats happened upon Lord Vorgen as he was bitten by a giant serpent. As if Set himself beckoned Lord Vorgen…his body vanished. Some say he now serves by the side of Set. Others say he was sent on a holy mission. This would be the catalyst that would cause many high ranking priest to feud within the House. Slowly, throughout time, the House was split over the lands. Rumor began somewhere that an emergence had been heard. It is belived that a few council of the nobles from the split up clan of Lok-ri have been in talks, and it is rumored the many clans are merging back into the once powerful clan that was Lok-ri under the command of the High Lady Aramina Lok-ri and her trusted council. There have been rumors of the Clans selling there skills as mercenaries to gain the monetary to rebuild. Yet, no one has confirmed or lived to tell of such reunion. Beware of those who cast and weave for if such rumors are true, none are safe in those lands, for the ancient house of Lok-ri had no problems enslaving everything in its path…
