Vanguard: SoH

The Disapointment:
VG was a game of great potential but it was badly managed and shipped early due to financial problems. The lack of content updates, PvP changes, stability issues, and too many bugs has forced many to leave the game and that include most of the people in the house that played. House Lok-ri went into the game unofficially and hoped that it would be a good game for us but sadly it wasn’t meant to be. There are a few people in the house playing still though, less than five.

Whether or not Vanguard: Saga of Heroes gets better with their re-launch plan next year is anyone’s guess.

The Next Game Venture

Age of Connan
Per House vote, we have decided on a new game: Age of Conan. There are no elves in this game, but that will not keep House Lok-ri from expanding on their own personal lore.

The Stygian society is "an ancient, decadent people, born of a culture more than fifteen hundred years older than any of their neighboring kingdoms to the north." Because we are just beginning our construction toward the new land, you will have to log into House Lok-ri to find out more details and help finalize the ideas for this move. We won't be taking this game lightly, and the idea is to go forward into the AOC community with knowledge, a story, and passion much like we did many ages ago. Help us rebuild our roots as a guild that "kills first and roleplays to the corpses"!

The Bloodguard Rises Again!

Bloodguard – The Reawakening:

Do you have what it takes? Five Bloodguard (BG) to be chosen.

To get a feel for what it takes to be a BG and what you can typically expect: RP and dedication are paramount. RP gets top billing over game abilities; however, when action is required… any hesitation on the part of the BG may result in their assignment (who they are protecting) being placed in danger. In the case of necessity a BG may take action (PK) first then RP to the dead bodies later.

First and foremost, it is the BG’s responsibility to keep their assignment alive under any condition. This is a firm rule and for RP reasons any BG will be expected to go down fighting and sacrifice themselves before letting their asset fall to the hands of the enemy.

Proper etiquette, again for RP reasons, must be shown at all times. Not only must a BG be aware of everything that is going on around them all at one time (PvP/PK reasons) but certain social graces and respect must be displayed to the asset that they are assigned to. Typically a BG will be expected to stay on the left-side of their assignment and half-a-step back while attending all civic functions or diplomatic missions UNLESS a threat is perceived – then the BG has full-reign to move into whichever position is deemed best for protection.

When not on an active assignment, the BG will be constantly training (leveling up) in order to develop their skills and will be expected to practice team-tactics (group hunting/leveling/adventuring/exploring/etc.) in order to further enhance their effectiveness.

These positions will be exclusively for Guild members only and anyone from the Guild may apply (Inner-Council Members are not eligible).
