Funcom has announced that Age of Conan will be delayed until March 25, 2008 to better prepare the game for release.

We naturally regret that we have to push back ‘Age of Conan’. However, after careful consideration, and analysis of recent Beta feedback, we believe that the new release date is in the best interest of the gamers, our company and our owners,” said Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. “We are fully committed to delivering games with absolute qualities, and in the current MMO marketplace we know that only the best is good enough to truly succeed. With the new release date we have therefore given ourselves more time to meet and deliver on the massive expectations for the game. We are certain that our choice will ultimately pay off, and that all ‘Age of Conan’ players will get a special online experience.“

After a long weekend of grueling hunts, never-ending foe attacks, and all for double training experience, House Lok-ri is shaping up some promising competitors. The top five to take advantage of such a profitable weekend were Wutai (level 29), Talendil, Liahn, Korathin (all level 28), and not too far behind is Thelenos (level 27)…..what? An Initiate in the top Five ranking hunters of Lok-ri? What is the world coming to? (Just teasing Thelenos). All that participated were said to have bleary red eyes, swollen hands from gripping their weapons so tightly, and I am sure a few battle scars were left behind.

I don’t think this past weekend was something to argue about as far as productivity, but I am sure Jaxylir our ranking diplomat (level 159 Diplo) could give us a conversation or two about it. Is war coming to our lands? Are we ready to set sail and conquer? Only time will tell….

With a lot of work and dedication the Lok-ri Web Team has finalized and released our new look. Lets give thanks to Navar for the amazing graphics, Korathin for leading the project and overall design, Talendar for the colors and initial coding of the theme, and Ssinjin for helping populate pages.

A few pages are not operational at this time and they are, Lore, Newsletter, and the FAQ. These pages will be up soon. Ongoing work and customization on the site will continue.

There is currently bug with the header and IE that will be fixed as soon as I am able to find a solution for it. If you see any other bugs or typos please let me know. There are some display issues with large screens that will be fixed soon.

A custom forum skin is being worked on and will be available when it’s ready.

Awards:

The awards are a way of saying thanks and recognizing those who are dedicated and hardworking. The council will consider every member for an award through a lengthy process so don’t expect the awards to happen right away.

Also there are some funny and semiserious awards where you can nominate a member for an award and have a guild vote on it. The following medals will be voted on by the guild. Excellence in PvP, Excellence in Roleplaying, Excellence in PvE, Mr. Cranky Pants, Red Headed Stepchild, and Bravery Medal.

You may have noticed that some of the awards do not have a graphic for them, these will be finished when Navar has the free time to make them. The descriptions for each award will be coming within the next few days.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.
